Statement NO.3 of the Islamic World Studies Association in Condemnation of the Zionist Regime’s Recent Crimes against Palestinians

 | Post date: 2023/02/27 |
In the past few months when all global attention has been paid to the Russia-Ukraine war and the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the Zionist regime has launched a new phase of crimes against the oppressed people of Palestine both in Gaza and the West Bank, having killed lots of the Palestinian children and youth, apart from mass detentions and tortures. Despite the condemnation of this crime by some human rights activists including the free Palestine supporters, the fake regime of Israel is still continuing its crimes in different parts of Palestine. Therefore, the Islamic World Studies Association strongly condemns the crimes committed by the Zionist regime, requesting all the independent states and NGOs across the globe to properly treat with this humane issue through media coverage and spiritual supports and outspokenly cautioning the international organizations and the western states including the United States against the consequences of inaction towards the crimes committed by the Zionist regime.

Statement NO.2 of the Islamic World Studies Association on Turkey-Syria Earthquake

 | Post date: 2023/02/14 |
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful,
Extending its condolences to the honorable people of Turkey and Syria over the recent horrible earthquake and wishing serenity for the survivors and speedy recovery for the victims, the Islamic World Studies Association requests all countries especially the Muslims to help the affected people of these two countries by providing the top priority needs announced by their respective governments. The situation in Syria however is dire. Unfortunately, the illegal sanctions imposed on Syria have made it difficult to dispatch humanitarian aids to this country. All the activists of international relations including the university professors and students should make an effort to exert pressures over the United States and European countries to remove these inhumane sanctions so that it may be possible to dispatch speedy relief aids to the people of Syria, rescue the people under rubbles, shelter the affected people and provide them with health care, take care of the orphans and finally reconstruct the quake-hit areas. It is hoped that the western countries stop their double standards in human rights and remove the obstacles to the immediate and unlimited relief aids to the people who are in need for global aids due to natural disasters or devastating wars.

Statement by Islamic World Studies Association about Taliban’s Ban on Education for Afghan Women and Girls

 | Post date: 2023/01/22 |
Taliban’s ban on education for Afghan women and girls is a step backwards in Afghanistan’s destiny. This bigoted decision which is against human conscience not only prevents the Afghan women and mothers from their individual progress and development, but also threatens Afghanistan’s future generations. Such decisions unfortunately will perpetuate the potentiality for violence, ethnic bigotry and regress in the sophisticated and art-rich land of Afghanistan. What is more regrettable is ascribing this wrong decision to the enlightening religion of Islam. While the holy prophet of Islam has ordained education as a religious duty for all Muslim men and women, imposition of such limitations implies superficial and deviant impressions from the holy religion of Islam that has regretfully occurred in the Islamic world in the recent decades. While expressing solidarity with the academic colleagues in Afghanistan and expressing deep regret for this decision that is against the teachings of Islam and basic human rights, the Islamic World Studies Association
1. requests the Taliban leaders to reconsider this decision with respect to the divine laws and the well-being of the Afghan nation.
2. Welcomes the decision by some universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran to accept female Afghan students and hopes that various universities in the Islamic world will make a similar decision to reduce the sufferings and consequences of Taliban’s ban on education for Afghan women and girls.
